1031 Capital Advisors ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy and treats the information you share with us the way we would want our own handled. We advise people on some of the largest financial decisions of their lives, and discretion is part of the job. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the forms and conversations you use to reach us.
Information we collect
Most of what we hold, you give us on purpose. When you complete a form to request a consultation, download a guide, ask us to send the replacement property list, or use the capital gains calculator, you may provide your name, email address, phone number, the nature of your inquiry, your timeline, whether you are an accredited investor, and details about the property or gain you are working with. If we begin working together, we collect the additional information any securities transaction requires: identity verification, suitability and accreditation documentation, and the records our broker-dealer and custodians are obligated to keep.
We also collect a limited amount of technical information automatically when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you view, and the referring link that brought you here. This is standard server and analytics data, used to understand which content is useful and to keep the site running properly.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, measure traffic, and improve the experience. Some are essential to the site functioning; others, such as analytics cookies, are optional and governed by the consent banner you see on your first visit. You can change your choice at any time, and you can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work as well if you do.
How we use your information
We use what you share to respond to your inquiry, answer your questions, deliver the resources you request, evaluate suitability, provide advisory services, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations. From time to time we may send educational material or updates we think you will find relevant. We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
Who we share it with
We share information only where it is necessary to serve you or required by law. That can include our affiliated broker-dealer and registered investment adviser, the sponsors and custodians involved in a transaction you choose to pursue, your own CPA or attorney when you ask us to coordinate with them, and service providers (such as our email, scheduling, and customer-relationship tools) that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations. We may also disclose information when compelled by a valid legal process or to protect our rights.
How long we keep it, and how we protect it
We retain personal information for as long as needed to serve you and to satisfy the recordkeeping rules that apply to financial firms, after which we dispose of it securely. We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take the responsibility seriously and limit access to those who need it.
Your choices and rights
You may opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us directly. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to certain uses. To make any of these requests, email hello@1031CapitalAdvisors.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Children and external links
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information. Our pages occasionally link to third-party sites: a sponsor, a regulator, a news source, whose privacy practices are their own. We encourage you to read their policies before sharing information with them.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be reflected by the date below. Questions? Reach us through our contact page or at hello@1031CapitalAdvisors.com. See also our Terms of Service and Disclaimer.
